The goal: “to create a piece of modern art that doubles as a wireless induction pad.” Odea Design has accomplished just that with its creation of the Concrete Charger, a tabletop wireless induction charging pad. This highly innovative product is triangular in design in order to accommodate as much as two devices simultaneously (a smartphone and a tablet). And while the charger’s base is concrete (which is why it’s as heavy as an oversized newborn baby at 12 pounds), its surface is covered with soft cork. The Concrete Charger will be available for Apple, Android, and Windows devices.
