Racing has always been a part of Jaguar’s rich heritage. And with the breathtaking Jaguar Project 7, the British automaker doesn’t want anybody to forget that. Jaguar’s latest supercar is based on the uber-sexy 2014 Jaguar F-Type, winner of the 2013 World Car Design of the Year award. You may have noticed its amazing blue paintwork as well, which is inspired by the triumphant Jaguar D-Type racers of the yesteryears. The Project 7 isn’t all flash, though, as this car isn’t just a concept—a beast of an engine resides under the hood. Its 5-L V8 motor is capable of dishing out as much as 550 hp, boast of a top speed of 186 mph, and can reach 60 mph in as little as 4.1 seconds. Landmark vehicles don’t come often. The Jaguar Project 7 can be referred to as such.
